The Federation of the Urban Poor has forty-thousand savers in about 700 settlements throughout all 9 provinces. FEDUP receives 9000 subsidies per annum as a result of a pledge by the National Minister of Housing. It also has memoranda of understanding with Ethekwini, Ekhureleni, Johannesburg and Cape Town Metros. Development finance and social support for land, infrastructure and housing is managed jointly with the Community Organisation Resource Centre and the uTshani Fund.
