Currently operating in Dar-es-Salaam, Dodoma and Arusha, the Homeless People's Federation of Tanzania is just beginning to develop as a city- and country-wide movement. Using savings as a core strategy, the Federation has initiated enumeration exercises, exchange programmes, and has begun to broker deals with local governments. The Federation is supported by the Centre for Community Initiatives.
