Zimbabawe

The Zimbabwe Federation has grown rapidly (45,000 members) as the economy has pushed more and more people into poverty. Although the economic freefall makes house construction very difficult, there have been extensive negotiations with government: land agreements have been reached in several cities and houses have been constructed in three. Zimbabwe Dialogue on Shelter supports the Federation as its NGO counterpart.
