SOLIDARITY ACTION We
the kenyan federation have marched to the zimbabwean embassy this
morning from Nairobi city center to westland out of the town where
the embassy is. we were not allowed in all of us, because of security
reason claimed by the security details at the embassy but i and
another federation woman member went in and have 1hour 30 min long
meeting with the embassy officials led by the senior secretary to
the embassy the meeting good they accepted our petitions and signatures
that we had collected and already before we left the offices they
had faxed them to harare. they also promised to organize a meeting
government and dialoque on shelter and the federation in harare.
they also told us that there goverment had started allocating people
with new houses in some areas.we are yet to confirm this information
but our solidarity is still on as we have public gathering on 24th
june 2005 and corravan procession on 25th june from nairobi to nakuru.
